Auto Transport Brokers

Auto Transport – Quality Customer Service

5/5

Auto Transport BrokersThere are two types of auto transporters in this crazy industry of ours that you can book your shipment with: auto transport brokers and auto transport carriers. Auto transport carriers are the companies that physically transport your vehicle from Point A to Point B; they are the lifeblood of the industry and are a vital part of it. But if the carriers are the blood vessels of the auto shipping industry, brokers are the heart – the ones that make sure that the carriers have plenty of vehicles to transport and coordinate transportation between carriers and customers.

Auto transport brokers act as facilitators – this is why we are just as every bit important as auto transport carriers. When you’re searching for an auto transport company you will undoubtedly find it very difficult to book your shipment directly with a carrier mainly because you’ll have a devil of a time finding one online. Most people today do their research online; it’s the way it goes in the Information Age. But most carriers don’t advertise online, typically because they can’t afford to build, host and maintain a website or they just don’t have the time; usually it’s both.

This is why auto transport brokers exist. Brokers do all the advertising online and jump through all the hoops to find customers that need to transport a vehicle, and then we match them with the best possible carrier for their specific needs. Brokers deal with a lot of customers at any given time; if a carrier tried to keep track of all those orders at once they would never get any work done! It’s a full-time job driving across the country delivering and picking up cars as is; it’s an entirely different full-time job keeping track of customer information and carrier information and facilitating transportation and communication between the drivers and customers.

It will be easier in the long run if you book with a broker as opposed to a carrier – if you can book with one at all. There are some larger carrier companies that operate fleets that can accommodate you, but most carriers are owner-operators that can only be in one place at a time. Booking through a broker will also get your car picked up more quickly; if you’re in Arizona but the carrier you hired to pick your car up is in New York City, it’s going to take him at least a week to come pick your car up. Or you could book with a broker, who can find the closest carrier to you and schedule your pickup for two days out as opposed to ten.
